Acoustical Measurements
Acoustical measurements are frequently performed as part of our services.
In-situ measurements can evaluate existing building, equipment, and product
characteristics.
Survey
measurements are undertaken to obtain data necessary to
solve acoustical design problems. Field-testing measurements
are performed to document equipment or system performance,
typically during project commissioning, and are summarized
in a written report.
Our calibrated acoustical instruments conform to established ANSI and ISO
standards. We have the capability to perform airborne and impact sound
isolation, room acoustics, noise level, sound system, and speech intelligibility measurements.
Some of
our equipment includes: Norsonic NOR-140 (general purpose
acoustic analyzer), EASERA (room acoustics and sound system
analyzer), and specialized sound sources including
omnidirectional and voice directivity loudspeakers, and a Norsonic NOR-211A tapping machine.
